The Grand Hotel Bonanno is set in an advantageous position within the city of Pisa outside of the ZTL (limited traffic area), a few minutes from the Piazza dei Miracoli and even closer to the Pisa S. Rossore railway station.

From the Hotel you can set off to discover Pisa, from its small alleyways to the majestic historical palaces such as the Piazza dei Cavalieri, the famous location of the Scuola Sant’Anna; continuing on to Corso Italia, the shopping area par excellence, you arrive at Piazza del Mercato where, amongst stalls, wineries and osterie you can breathe in the scent of Pisa cuisine and then grab a taste of it.

Getting lost in the narrow alleys of old Pisa is always a fun experience and if you look up, in between flowery glimpses you can always see the Duomo’s dome and the crenelated profile of the famous Tower of Pisa.

If walking, you cannot avoid getting into Piazza dei Miracoli, with the world’s most famous tower and the infinite beauties of the Duomo and Battistero: a not so little gem of Italian ingenuity.
The Hotel is the ideal starting point for excursions to discover the main Tuscan “città d’arte”, but most of all to dedicate time to explore the surroundings of one of the world’s most beautiful cities.

Florence, Siena, Lucca, Livorno, Pistoia are just some of the destinations to visit when setting off from the Grand Hotel Bonanno, by train or car; in its surroundings, you can take long walks to discover some pearls of Tuscan architecture and nature and culinary routes that are still a well-kept secret.

Discover and rediscover the charm of a region known the world over.
